GO cell compartment analysis identified the collagen-containing extracellular matrix based on the down-regulation of APOC3, ZG16 and ADAMTS9 and up-regulation of COL12A1, S100A4, S100A6 and SERPINA5. Gene APOC3 encodes a liver and small intestine-secreted apolipoprotein C-III (apoC-III) found with triglyceride-rich lipoproteins, such that increases in apoC-III levels induces the development of hypertriglyceridemia and overexpression can contribute to coronary heart disease in humans [74,75]. This evidence concerns the gene S100A4 and hypertriglyceridemia.
