In PANC-1 human pancreatic cancer stem-like cells, garcinol was reported to inhibit the metastatic potential of PANC-1 stem cells via downregulating Bcl2 family member (Mcl-1), enhancer of zeste 2 polycomb repressive complex 2 subunit (EZH2) and GLI family zinc finger 1 (Gli-1) which was coupled to upregulation of miR-200c and downregulation of Notch1 signaling [112]. The gene discussed is GLI1; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
