Most of these enrolled patients (twenty-five; 80.6%) were those with newly diagnosed CML in the chronic phase (<10% blasts in the bone marrow) who were referred to the DNA Diagnostics Laboratory (the Dippner Health Center, Karaganda) for the RT-qPCR detection of the chimeric BCR-ABL transcript [22] in isolated PBMCs.
