Furthermore, a recent study demonstrated for the first time that protein tyrosine phosphatase 2 (SHP2) and RhoA were robustly activated in the airway eosinophils of children with allergic asthma and of a mouse model with allergic airway inflammation, and SHP2 regulates eosinophil recruitment into lungs through RhoA/ROCK signalling in allergic asthma.82 The gene discussed is RHOA; the disease is allergic asthma.
