Based on the studies of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE, which is a major universally accepted MS animal model), major primary pathogenic T cells in MS include Th1 and Th17 cells [2,3] and major predominant protective T cells include regulatory T (Treg) cells such as FoxP3+ and IL-10+ Treg cells.
