As salidroside has been shown to affect cancer cell biological behaviors through regulating AKT signaling [28, 29], we measured whether salidroside could affect AKT signaling in platelets through measuring the phosphorylation of AKT and found that salidroside treatment significantly decreased the phosphorylation of AKT (T307/S483) in both human (Figure 7A) and mouse (Figure 7B) platelets after stimulation by thrombin, indicating that salidroside also plays a role in AKT signaling in platelets. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and cancer.
