ESR1 and breast carcinoma: Although the highest contents in both polyphenols and triterpenes were detected in the 80% methanolic extract, with rosmarinic acid and ursolic acid as the most concentrated compounds, the highest cell inhibitory activity was exhibited by the 96% ethanolic extract, in particular against the estrogen receptor positive MCF7 breast cancer cell line, with no cytotoxic effect on healthy cells.
