In the present study, effects of oral curcumin in attenuating the damaging effect of induced arthritis may be attributed to the fact that certain inflammatory agents mimicking RA inflammatory metabolites released during adjuvant-induced arthritis models were counteracted by the oral curcumin in dosage of 250 mg/kg resulting which might have restored the gastrointestinal environment causing folic acid absorption and, hence, restoration of RBC count and the Hb concentration [35]. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and Arthritis.
