TET3 and Hyperglycemia: Using a zebrafish model of diabetes, induced by streptozotocin injection, Dhliwayo et al. observed that hyperglycaemia induced a 5-10 fold increase in RNA expression of TET1, TET2 and TET3 in fin samples within 1 week, which persisted to 3 weeks after induction of hyperglycaemia [136].
