Given the high accuracy with which the assay identifies the LB-associated α-Syn pathology, it might also be the time to update the current nomenclature for iRBD, PAF, and PD, to introduce the eponym LB to each of these syndromes (i.e., PAF-LB, iRBD-LB, and PD-LB), to correctly classify patients with in vivo evidence for LB-related pathology obtained employing RT-QuIC or other SAAs. The gene discussed is PCSK1N; the disease is Parkinson disease.
