Of note, the status of p53 is an important determinant of CIN regulation in colorectal cancers since DLD1 and SW480 cells with mutant p53 manifest CIN, while HCT116 cells, wild type for p53, do not show CIN upon Twist1 overexpression (Supplementary Material, Fig. S3).
