Nonetheless, several additional works regarding activity-guided fractionation to identify active components from Pg-EE; finding other molecular targets, such as PI3K or AKT, in both the NF-κB pathway and other inflammatory signaling cascades, such as the AP-1 pathway; testing the inhibitory effect of Pg-EE in other inflammatory cells, such as tissue epithelial cells; and evaluating the therapeutic activity of this extract with other inflammation models, such as a chronic inflammatory disease model (e.g., osteoarthritis model), will be performed in future projects. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and osteoarthritis.
