At the end of the study, the active group benefited from a significant decrease in aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), tumor necrosis factor α, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and NAFLD grade compared to placebo (p < 0.05 for all). Here, CRP is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
