APOB and polycystic ovary syndrome: In comparison to controls, PCOS patients showed higher levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (TC/HDL-C ratio) and apolipoprotein B (P<0.001), triglycerides (P = 0.001) and TC (P = 0.005), as well as lower levels of HDL-C (P = 0.044), revealing an adverse lipid profile.
