Approximately, 30%‐50% of colorectal tumors are known to have a mutated KRAS gene, predominantly found in codons 12 and 13, indicating that up to 50% of patients with colorectal cancer may respond to anti‐epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) antibody therapy such as cetuximab.2 This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and colorectal cancer.
