We could not visualize FLAG-LidIPLE 1 in the absence of phage infection; however, when infected by ICP1 at MOI = 2, FLAG-LidIPLE 1 was detectable by Western blot late in infection – 18 to 20 minutes post phage addition and immediately prior to the sudden decrease in OD characteristic of PLE-mediated accelerated lysis (Figure 4B and Figure 4—figure supplement 2).
