Several prior studies have demonstrated that miR-93-5p can induce EMT in breast, lung, and liver cancers, as well as nasopharyngeal carcinoma 32-35;however, a few studies paradoxically found that miR-93-5p inhibits EMT in breast cancer by targeting MKL-1, STAT3, and stem cell regulatory genes 36, 37. This evidence concerns the gene MRTFA and breast cancer.
