In the nucleus, β-catenin requires interaction with TCF/LEF transcription factors and other co-activators, such as CBP or p300, and activates the transcription of the target genes involved in cell proliferation, migration and invasion of different cancer cells [reviewed by (41–43)], including prostate cancer (25, 32, 44). The gene discussed is HNF4A; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
