With more clinical trials emerging [4–46], the FLAURA trial [42] has shown that osimertinib has superior efficacy compared with standard EGFR-TKIs in treating advanced EGFR-mutant NSCLC with less serious adverse effects (18.9 months vs 10.2 months for progression-free survival (PFS), P<0.001). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
