Of note, though TLE1 alone is not sufficient for diagnosis of synovial sarcoma since it is present in other tumors, particularly peripheral nerve sheath tumors that would include schwannomas (100%), neurofibromas (30%), and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (30%) [23], these entities can usually be distinguished from synovial sarcoma on the basis of morphology and other criteria. Here, TLE1 is linked to malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.
