Ilamycin C and ilamycin E have selective anti-triple-negative breast cancer activity and have been found to act on the interleukin-6/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (IL-6/STAT3) and endoplasmic reticulum stress-CCAAT-enhancer-binding protein homologous protein-B-cell lymphoma 2 (ER stress-CHOP-Bcl2) signaling pathways, respectively [20,21]. This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
