HMGN5 and urinary bladder cancer: More importantly, the above-described effects of HMGN5 silencing could all be significantly reversed by Hsp27 overexpression, suggesting that HMGN5 is involved in IL-6-Hsp27-induced STAT3 phosphorylation and STAT3 targeting of the Twist promoter, therefore modulating IL-6-induced bladder cancer EMT and bladder cancer cell invasion.
