We measured the expression levels of several key inhibitory receptors which were reported to be overexpressed on the global CD8+ T cell compartment in CLL, but not on CMV-specific CD8+ T cells.6,8 CLL-derived EBV-specific CD8+ T cells have an increased expression of CD160 and CD244 compared to HC, however, the expression of PD-1 is not significantly altered (Fig. 2F–H). This evidence concerns the gene CD160 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
