Over 90% of colorectal cancer is carried out by somatic mutations in Wnt signallingconstituent genes like adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor gene and β-catenin genes, resulting in constitutive activation of Wnt signalling [8].This in turn guides to the generation of colon cancer, which are intrinsically resistant to conventional chemotherapy. The gene discussed is APC; the disease is neoplasm.
