Aircraft noise annoyance during day (β: 0.016 [95% CI 0.0070; 0.025], p = 0.00049 per point increase in annoyance) as well as during sleep (β: 0.020 [95% CI 0.010; 0.030], p < 0.0001) was independently associated with increased levels of MR-proANP after multivariable adjustment for sex, age, socioeconomic status, length of time at current residence, night shift work, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, current smoking, obesity, dyslipidemia, family history of myocardial infarction or stroke, and medication use (Table 2).
