First, we used an exploratory cohort of patients with glioblastoma to develop a dPCR assay in comparison to FISH for EGFR amplification and to an RT-PCR-based method for EGFRvIII. In the second step, we tested the ability of our dPCR assay to simultaneously detect these two EGFR alterations in an independent validation cohort of patients with glioblastoma. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and glioblastoma.
