AQP3, a member of the aquaporin family, is widely distributed in many tissues.12, 13 AQP3 enhances cell growth and inhibits cell apoptosis in pancreatic cancer.16 Similarly, Chen et al. found in their study that AQP3 was a sperm water channel and contributed to postcopulatory sperm osmoadaptation and migration.27 Our results are consistent with all the above findings, and we discovered that AQP3 was overexpressed in NSCLC tissues and cell lines compared with the noncancer tissues and cell lines. This evidence concerns the gene AQP3 and pancreatic neoplasm.
