It has been reported that the knockdown of NCAPG expression could not only reduce HCC cell viability, but also induce apoptosis and arrest the cells at the S phase of the cell cycle by regulating the expression of Bax, cleaved caspase-3, E-cadherin, cyclin A1, CDK2, Bcl-2, N-cadherin, and HOXB9 (Wang et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene CCNA1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
