Notably, however, both Ara h 2 and Ara h 6 were able to inhibit IgE binding to each other, suggesting that Ara h 2– and Ara h 6–specific IgE in patients with peanut allergy is a mix of IgE resulting from primary sensitization and cross-reactivity, concordant with data recently published by Hazebrouck et al.30 The gene discussed is IGHE; the disease is peanut allergic reaction.
