They showed that LPA-induced cell proliferation in different cell lines through different receptors, suggesting that there is a cell line-specific difference in the relative importance of each LPA receptor in its ability to induce proliferation of CRC cells.35,36 LPA inhibited the motility of colon cancer cells through LPA receptors 4 and 6.37 Therefore, it is not surprising that Agpat4-regulated LPA did not obviously affect the proliferation, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, or migration of MC-38 cells in vitro in the present study.
