RET and cancer: In cancers with known upstream fusion partners, RET fusions involving KIF5B (n = 35) were not associated with a benefit on overall survival compared to those involving partners other than KIF5B (n = 10; median overall survival, 18.4 months [95% CI, 7.8–43.5] vs 20.3 months [95% CI, 8.6–48.0]; P = 0.58) (Fig. 2b).
