Failure of the regression of SCC VII tumors in a subset of mice (one each in TMV vaccine dose levels) that received TMV vaccine followed by anti-PD-1 mAb therapy (delayed antibody administration) suggests that SCC VII tumors induce changes in the tumor microenvironment that prevents an anti-tumor response elicitation by anti-PD-1 antibody therapy (Figure 2).
