It has been reported that inhibiting miR‐125b regulates the Wnt/β‐catenin pathway and EMT.12 In many breast cancer cell lines, miR‐125b inhibited BAK1 gene expression and confers paclitaxel resistance.13 In addition, it has been confirmed that miR‐125b can induce distant metastasis of breast cancer by mediating the STARD13 in MCF‐7 and MDA‐MB‐231 breast cancer cell lines.14 However, the relationship between miR‐125b expression and breast cancer has not as yet been fully clarified, and more detailed mechanism research is needed to clarify its complex biological effects. This evidence concerns the gene STARD13 and breast carcinoma.
