BRAF and melanoma: The ERG noted that the patients recruited to the trial were largely representative of patients with advanced (unresectable or metastatic) BRAF V600 mutation-positive melanoma who are likely to be treated in the NHS, with the caveat that very few patients in the COLUMBUS trial [21–23] had brain metastases and none of the patients had a poor performance status (PS) (i.e., PS ≥ 2).
