Although our data do not clarify whether the observed effects of B4GALNT2 expression are due to the de novo expression of the Sda antigen or the down-regulation of sLex, they point to the potential usefulness of B4GALNT2 to stratify patients’ risk, contributing to the design of a personalized therapy of colon cancer.
