Analysis of expression of human MOB2 gene in cancer genomics datasets such as the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) revealed a loss of heterozygosity (LOH) for MOB2 in more than 50% of the bladder, cervical and ovarian carcinomas and in at least 30% of cancer cell lines23, hinting that hMOB2 might represent a novel tumor suppressor. Here, MOB2 is linked to neoplasm.
