Regarding the mechanism of LPA and its receptors promoting pulmonary fibrosis, a study suggested that LPA-LPA1 pathway could induce bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSC) to differentiate into myofibroblasts and promote the secretion of extracellular matrix (ECM), thereby promoting pulmonary fibrosis. Here, LPAR1 is linked to pulmonary fibrosis.
