C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3) is closely associated with autophagosome/lysosome damage and ERS in subjects with NASH, as evidenced by LC3-II and p62/SQSTM1 accumulation and increased levels of GRP78, p-PERK and p-eIF2α. This evidence concerns the gene SQSTM1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
