Considering studies conducted by our research group in the search for new promising inhibitors of Aurora B kinase [10] and the current results, the IAF79 compound (Table 5) can be considered to be a promising dual Aurora B/FLT3 inhibitor aimed at the treatment of different cancer types, including myeloid leukemia, as it presents considerable predicted activity and energy values for both targets studied. This evidence concerns the gene AURKB and cancer.
