To test this possibility, we firstly investigated peripheral IL-35 expression profile and IL-35 receptor (IL-12Rβ2 and gp130) expression in purified CD14+ monocytes in patients with Kawasaki disease, and further assessed the co-stimulatory and cytotoxic activity of purified CD14+ monocytes in response to recombinant human IL-35 stimulation in vitro. The gene discussed is IL12RB2; the disease is Kawasaki disease.
