The median (quartile 1, quartile 3) values in these groups were 396 pg/ml (170, 699), 558 pg/ml (447, 874) and 839 pg/ml (560, 1420) respectively, and were statistically significantly different from each other (p<0.0001); i.e. median BNP values significantly increased from possible to probable to definite HF groups.
