Hypomethylation at CpG sites in TXNIP (cg19693031), PHOSPHO1 (cg02650017), and SOCS3 (cg18181703), and hypermethylation at SREBF1 (cg11024682) and ABCG1 (cg06500161) were associated with greater risk of developing T2D over the ~ 8.5-year follow-up [16•] (Table 1).
