BAP1, encoding a nuclear deubiquitinase, was found to be mutated or deleted in multiple cancers, including ∼60% of human MM (Bott et al., 2011; Bueno et al., 2016; Carbone et al., 2012; Harbour et al., 2010; Hmeljak et al., 2018; Nasu et al., 2015; Testa et al., 2011). The gene discussed is BAP1; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
