Since there is increasing evidence showing that lncRNAs serve as ceRNAs to modulate the function of miRNAs5, we utilized an online bioinformatics database (miRcode31) and identified 13 microRNAs as potential competing targets of HOTAIRM1. Moreover, in a previous study of prognosis-related lncRNAs in ovarian cancer tissues, HOTAIRM1 was found to regulate hub genes through seven miRNAs, including miR-107, miR-103a-3p, miR-129-5p, miR-152-3p, miR-148a-3p, and miR-148b-3p32. Here, HOTAIRM1 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
