For these experiments, we used pancreatic cell lines generated from a Kras+p53+Brg1−/−; Kras+p53+ mouse pancreatic cancer model that was developed by Fukuda et al. After subcutaneous tumors in the NOD/SCID mice had been created via injection of these cell lines, hematoxylin and eosin-stained tissue sections were evaluated histologically to confirm that the tumors mimicked pancreatic cancer. Here, TP53 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
