In conclusion, our study, which is the first of its kind related to the molecular of LC for the East Algerian population, has considered the association of the polymorphisms of three genes TERT (rs2853669), CHRNA5 (rs16969968), and OGG1 (rs1052133) in Eastern Algerian population, and has shown that the rs16969968 CHRNA5 has a significant association with adenocarcinoma LC, and interestingly that the risk is important for smoking patients carrying the AA genotype. Here, OGG1 is linked to laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
