Fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 (FGFR2) gene fusions are present in 10–15% of intra-hepatic CCA [1,2,3], wherein the 5′-portion of the FGFR2 gene, including its kinase domain, is fused to different 3′-fusion partners. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR2 and cholangiocarcinoma.
