As shown, HIF-1α knockdown via siRNA transfection significantly reversed the Ube2s-induced reduction of both Bax/Bcl-2 (Figure 4A–4B) and caspase 3 activity (Figure 4C) in the heart after MI/R injury, although not totally recovered to that of vector control.
