Ovarian tumours in wild-type mice had an elevated content of F4/80+GATA-6+ and F4/80+GATA-6– macrophages, whereas healthy ovaries contained only F4/80+GATA-6– macrophages (Supplementary Fig. 6a), a finding confirmed by confocal microscopy (Supplementary Fig. 6b). The gene discussed is GATA6; the disease is ovarian neoplasm.
