Of the remaining five genes, three [MICA (Aterido et al. 2019), NCR3, and TAP2 (Tomer et al. 2015)] have been previously associated with type 1 diabetes, while APOM (Hu et al. 2011) and HLA-DRB5 (Jiang et al. 2014) have been associated with RA. This evidence concerns the gene TAP2 and rheumatoid arthritis.
